  Understand your monthly reporting

Every month, we offer you a detailed analysis of important metrics that provide a wide-ranging perspective of user engagement, content completion, and overall platform activity. By keeping track of user sign-ins, session durations, and module completions, you can gain better insights into your learners and their interactions with the platform. This article provides a thorough explanation of each metric.

Below is an example of the monthly report you will receive. In this illustration, each metric is numbered from 1 to 16, and the subsequent table provides detailed explanations for each metric.

1 Total Users Total number of active users in the platform. 
2 Active Users

The count of unique users who have engaged with the platform within the defined reporting period. 

3 % Active users The proportion of total users who have engaged with the platform during the specified reporting period.
4 Total Session Duration (minutes) Quantifies the cumulative duration of user engagement on the platform's website within a specified timeframe. It encompasses the combined length of all active interaction periods during sessions, starting upon website access and concluding after 30 minutes of user inactivity.
5 Sign Ins Sign-ins represent the aggregate count of user login occurrences within the reporting period. This metric includes all instances of user sign-ins, irrespective of whether they are unique or repetitive. Each time a user signs in, it contributes to the total count of sign-ins for the reporting period.
6 Ave Sign Ins/User

The average number of sign-ins made by each user within the reporting period. This metric is derived by dividing the total number of sign-ins by the total number of users. It provides insight into the frequency of user engagement with the platform during the specified timeframe.

7 Sessions

The session metric tracks user engagement duration on the platform's website, highlighting active interaction periods. It compares the number of sessions users had this month versus last month, with sessions starting upon website access and ending after 30 minutes of user inactivity.

8 Avg Sessions/User The average number of sessions initiated by each user within the reporting period. This metric is calculated by dividing the total number of sessions by the total number of users. It offers insights into how frequently users engage with the platform over time.
9 Sign Ins (graph) The graph displays the total count of user sign-ins over the reporting timeframe.
10 Sessions (graph) The graph displays the total count of user sessions over the reporting timeframe.
11 Total Completions (YTD) The cumulative count of module completions within the specified reporting period. This metric encapsulates the total number of modules successfully completed from the start of tracking to the current vs last month.
12  Completion % The proportion of module completions out of the total number of modules available to all users. 
13 Completions (FYTD)

Total Completions FYTD (Financial Year-To-Date) displays the total count of module completions from the beginning of the financial year up to the current month.

14 Avg Total Completion / User The average number of total completions made by each user within the reporting period. This metric is determined by dividing the total number of completions by the total number of users. 
15 Engaged Users (YTD) The total count of users who have initiated at least one module.
16 Engaged % The percentage of total users who have initiated at least one module.
