COURSE REFRESHER

Using a course setting, the administrator has the ability to determine whether the learner's course results need to be refreshed/reset. This is either after a specific timeframe a learner has initially completed a course or a specific fixed date.

If the administrator chooses the timeframe option, they have the option to set a value of X amount of days/weeks/months. In doing so, the learner’s course results will be reset to this amount of time after a learner has progressed a course. If the fixed date option is chosen, all completed learner's results for that course will reset on that specific date, regardless of when they completed it. This means that whether a learner has completed a course on January 1, or December 1, it will still reset on 31 December (if 31 December was selected as the refresher date). In either scenario, in order for the course to show as complete, the learner must redo all activities within the course.

When a course has been refreshed for a learner, the learner receives a system notification indicating this action has taken place, and their course status has also changed to not started.

If reward points are allocated to a course, the administrator can define whether or not reward points can be obtained for re-completing the course after refresh, or if they accumulate points only after the initial completion.

Important to note:

When a course is refreshed, the results of all activities within that course will reset. This means that if this activity is used in multiple courses, that activity will show as not started in all courses it is a part of.

1. To enable course refresher when setting up a course, tick the REFRESH COURSE checkbox in the Course settings page.

2. Define whether a learner can only obtain rewards points (if allocated) once, or multiple times after each reset.

3. Define whether course progress will reset back to zero after a specific timeframe or a fixed date. If FIXED DATE is selected, the course will be set back to zero for all permitted learners on the same date each year. If TIMEFRAME is selected, the course is reset after the permitted date. This means that it will be set to zero at different times for different learners. Subsequent resets will occur X time after the previous reset date.

4. Continue completing the course setup as outlined previously in the user guide.
